Glazed Amaretto Brownies Recipe

How to make it

  • Sift flour, baking soda and salt together then combine sugar, shortening and water in pan.
  • Heat stirring constantly until sugar melts and mixture boils then remove from heat.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until smooth then beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Stir in dry mixture and nuts then spread evenly in square pan and bake at 325 for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle amaretto on top while still hot then cool completely.
  • Beat butter and vanilla until creamy then add sugar gradually until smooth.
  • Spread evenly on top of brownie layer then chill until firm.
  • Melt chocolate and shortening in double boiler then spread glaze on top and cut into squares.
  • Chill until served.
