Ingredients
  • Filling;
  • 1/3 cup Peanut Butter
  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 9" Pie Shell (baked)
  • 1/3 cup self-rising Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups scalded Milk
  • 3 Egg Yolks (beaten)
  • 2 tsp. Butter
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • Meringue;
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 tsp. Cream of Tarter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cornstarch

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Blend peanut butter and powdered sugar until mealy. Sprinkle 2/3 mixture in baked pie shell. Combine flour, sugar and stir into scalded milk, w/butter and vanilla. Cook until starting to thicken. Mix small amount of liquid into beaten egg yolks and to milk mixture. Cook until thickened to a pudding consistency. Pour into shell.
  3. Beat egg whites until still, add cream of tarter, sugar and cornstarch until stiffen peaks. Top w/remaining prowdered sugar and peanut butter mixture.
  4. Bake @350 f 15 minutes or until slightly browned.
