No Frills Penne  Marinara Sauce Recipe

No frills just Penne pasta with ground beef and canned tomato sauce.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz Penne Pasta
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can (15oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15oz) tomato bits
  • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
  • garlic salt
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/4 freshly grated Parmesan Cheese(plus more as a topping)

Directions
  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet that is big enough to hold all ingredients when it's all finished.
  2. Drain excess grease when meat is no longer pink.
  3. In the large skillet with the beef add the tomato sauce, tomato bits, oregano, garlic salt, salt, pepper & grated Parmesan cheese. Stir together.
  4. Let the meat sauce simmer while cooking the pasta.(to incorporate the flavors)
  5. Cook the pasta according to package directions.
  6. When pasta is cooked, drain off water and add pasta to the meat/sauce mixture.
  7. Stir to get sauce all over the pasta.
  8. Serve with extra Parmesan cheese on top.
