No Frills Penne Marinara Sauce

- 8 oz penne pasta shopping list
- 1 lb. ground beef shopping list
- 1 can (15oz) tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 can (15oz) tomato bits shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano shopping list
- garlic salt shopping list
- salt & pepper shopping list
- 1/4 freshly grated parmesan cheese(plus more as a topping) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet that is big enough to hold all ingredients when it's all finished.
- Drain excess grease when meat is no longer pink.
- In the large skillet with the beef add the tomato sauce, tomato bits, oregano, garlic salt, salt, pepper & grated Parmesan cheese. Stir together.
- Let the meat sauce simmer while cooking the pasta.(to incorporate the flavors)
- Cook the pasta according to package directions.
- When pasta is cooked, drain off water and add pasta to the meat/sauce mixture.
- Stir to get sauce all over the pasta.
- Serve with extra Parmesan cheese on top.
