How to make it
- ButtBurners
- Serves/Makes: 20
- Ingredients:
- 20 unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp
- 20 jalapenos peppers
- 10 bacon slices, halved lengthwise
- Directions:
- Peel and de-vein shrimp,
- Sprinkle peeled shrimp with Oldbay seasoning to taste
- Cut a slit in each jalapeno pepper; remove seeds and membranes.
- Carefully place one raw shrimp in cavity of each pepper.
- Wrap each shrimp stuffed pepper with 1/2 bacon piece, and secure with a wooden toothpick.
- Place in a jellyroll type pan.
- Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until bacon is cooked.
- Serve warm.
- As always: Use latex gloves when handling fresh hot peppers!
