How to make it

  • Serves/Makes: 20
  • Ingredients:
  • 20 unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp
  • 20 jalapenos peppers
  • 10 bacon slices, halved lengthwise
  • Directions:
  • Peel and de-vein shrimp,
  • Sprinkle peeled shrimp with Oldbay seasoning to taste
  • Cut a slit in each jalapeno pepper; remove seeds and membranes.
  • Carefully place one raw shrimp in cavity of each pepper.
  • Wrap each shrimp stuffed pepper with 1/2 bacon piece, and secure with a wooden toothpick.
  • Place in a jellyroll type pan.
  • Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until bacon is cooked.
  • Serve warm.
  • As always: Use latex gloves when handling fresh hot peppers!
