Quick Bacon And Mushroom Spaghetti

- 1 clove of garlic shopping list
- A small handful of bacon pieces shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- button mushrooms shopping list
- Any other veges (brocolli, zucchini.. something that will soak up flavour and cook quickly) shopping list
- Pasta- I think spaghetti is definately the best for this shopping list
- Parmasan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Boil up some spag in a pot of boiling water
- Meanwhile, over a low/medium heat, cook off the bacon pieces. Use a good slurp of olive oil.Once the bacon is half done, turn down the heat and crush in a juicy clove of garlic and add in slices of mushrooms. Now the oil may be off putting but its what makes the entire dish. The flavour of the bacon and garlic cooked really low will infuse the oil.
- Add heaps of pepper but taste before adding any salt as the bacon could be salty.
- ****I sometimes use broccoli because I feel guilty for having no vege, but its the simplicity that makes it soooo appealing. If you choose to use the brocolli, blanch it in the boiling pasta water quickly before crankin the heat in the pan and adding it to make it nutty in flavour****
- Add a lil parmasan once dished up just to heighten all the flavours.. yummy :P
