Asiago Alfredo Turkey Recipe

Asiago Alfredo Turkey Recipe
Canadian thanksgiving was coming up so I started thinking about turkey and why it is so underutilized. So I decided to adapt an Alfredo Sauce and thought an Asiago substitution would make it better for the turkey.

Ingredients
  • Inspired by chefelaine's Alfredo: http://www.grouprecipes.com/83286/alfredo-sauce.html
  • 1/2 cup sweet butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tea spoon black pepper(cause I prefer the flavor and being freckled myself I kinda like the freckled look)
  • 1/4 cup grated parm
  • 1/4 cup asiago
  • 3/4 cup grated mozzarella
  • 3 cups cubed cooked turkey(do not used canned turkey ever!)
  • 1/4 tea spoon rosemary(because rosemary and turkey are a great team)
  • optional 1 1/2 cups broccoli or 1-2 small blocks of dark chocolate 66% or higher
  • 1 pack(12 ounce) of fettuccine, linguine or preferred pasta

Directions
  1. Melt butter over medium/low heat
  2. Add the garlic, cream, white pepper, rosemary, and bring mixture to a simmer.
  3. Stir frequently
  4. Add the Parmesan cheese and asiago, simmer sauce for 8-10 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth.
  5. When sauce has thickened add the mozzarella cheese and turkey and stir until smooth. STIR FREQUENTLY.
  6. While cooking the sauce prepare your noodles as directed, but add broccoli in the last four minutes of the cooking time if you're using it.
  7. Put the pasta on the plate and pour the sauce over as desired, grate chocolate over the pasta at the table
