Ingredients
  • 8 pork steaks uncut.
  • 12 dried apricots without pit.
  • 12 dried plums without pit.
  • 4 medium onions cut in halves.
  • 4 cloves garlic pressed.
  • 1 bottle white beer ( 330 ml ).
  • salt and fresh pepper to taste.
  • 1 ts dried thyme.
  • 1/3 ts ground cardamom.
  • 4 tbs olive oil.

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven with air to 170 C.
  2. Put apricots and plums in a bowl with the beer and marinate 30 minutes, drain and keep the beer.
  3. Put the meat with bones up in a big baking dish and sprinkle with the beer.
  4. With a brush put olive oil all over ther meat, sprinkle with thyme, cardamom, salt and pepper.
  5. Roast for 110 min.
  6. Now add onions, apricots, garlic and plums and roast for 40 minutes more.
  7. If necesary add a little water.
  8. Put meat on a big plate with onions, apricots and plums around.
  9. Put the gravy in a saute pan with a little water on medium heat and stir cook till sauce thickens.
  10. Cut the steaks on the table, sprinkle the sauce over the meat and serve.

This sounds really good. We have a great beer in the Southern U.S. called Shock Top that is great with pork.
