Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground pork, browned
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh onion
  • 1 clove finely chopped garlic
  • 1- 16 oz. can diced tomatoes (gluten free)
  • 1/4 tsp. coarsely chopped oregano
  • 2 - 7 oz. cans diced green chilies (gluten free)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbs. (+/-) corn starch (to thicken before serving - if desired)

Directions
  1. Brown & drain the ground pork
  2. combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil
  3. Simmer for at least 2 hours prior to serving (also works great in a crock pot on low for several hours)
  4. Prior to serving, if you like thick green chili, slowly stir in corn starch to thicken

Great post - I make it almost the same except I use cubed pork instead of ground - love this stuff!
