Green Chile - The Best - Gluten Free

- 1 lb. ground pork, browned shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh onion shopping list
- 1 clove finely chopped garlic shopping list
- 1- 16 oz. can diced tomatoes (gluten free) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. coarsely chopped oregano shopping list
- 2 - 7 oz. cans diced green chilies (gluten free) shopping list
- 2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 tbs. (+/-) corn starch (to thicken before serving - if desired) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown & drain the ground pork
- combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil
- Simmer for at least 2 hours prior to serving (also works great in a crock pot on low for several hours)
- Prior to serving, if you like thick green chili, slowly stir in corn starch to thicken

Great post - I make it almost the same except I use cubed pork instead of ground - love this stuff!
