Almond Milk Recipe
This is a healthy almond milk recipe for those who do not take dairy products. Packed with Vitamin E, magnesium, copper and monounsaturated fats, almond milk makes a heart healthy drink anytime of the day.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw almonds soaked in water 8 hrs or overnight
  • 3 cups clean cold water
  • 3 - 4 drops of vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • pinch of sea salt, optional

Directions
  1. Discard water used for soaking almonds and rinse almonds,
  2. Place almonds and 3 fresh cups of water in a blender.
  3. Blend till smooth.
  4. Strain using a cheesecloth or other strainer. You should get 3 cups.
  5. Pour almond milk back into blender.
  6. Add honey, vanilla essence and salt and blend until honey is well mixed.
  7. Serve.
