Ingredients

How to make it

  • Look for something that can hold your tofu and marinade (I used a lunch box)
  • In this, combine soy sauce, sirup and wok oil and stir till mostly mixed
  • Crush and peel garlic cloves, add to the mixture
  • Dash some pepper on top, and mix again
  • Cut tofu in half lenghtwise, and lay in marinade
  • Turn every 2 - 3 hours so that each side is evenly marinated
  • I usually prepare the marinade in the morning before class and bake the tofu in the evening, so I would say 10 hours of marinating at least
  • After 10 hours: get the tofu out of the box and pat dry gently
  • cut in smaller bits, and sprinkle with flour
  • Melt some butter in a pan, bake tofu until golden
  • Enjoy!
  • You can always use the garlic from the marinade in spaghetti sauce or other dishes, so don't throw them out just yet :)
