Chicken Marsala

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided use shopping list
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms shopping list
- 2 teaspoons corn starch shopping list
- 1/2 cup marsala wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sweet basil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
How to make it
- Between 2 pieces of waxed paper, pound the chicken to 1/4 inch thickness
- Combine flour, salt, garlic powder and pepper in a large bowl
- Add chicken and coat
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Cook chicken 8-10 minutes, turning once
- Remove from pan and keep warm
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and the mushrooms to the skillet
- Saute 2-3 minutes
- Mix corn starch, wine, basil and onion powder
- Add to mushrooms and simmer, uncovered, 2 minutes or until thickened
- Serve chicken and sauce over cooked linguine, if desired
