How to make it

  • Combine vinegar and spices in a small sauce pan and on a medium to high heat bring to a boil. Reduce heat and reduce by 1/4 ( about 10 minutes).
  • In a soup pan add 3 TBS olive oil and on medium heat saute onion for 5 minutes, add garlic and saute until onion gets translucent. Add sugar and stir every 20 seconds until sugar melts( about 5 minutes). Add the vinegar but pour through a fine meshed sieve. Stir for 30 seconds and add the chipotles, cranberry base, ketchup , water and Melinda's hot sauce. Simmmer for 30 minutes and allow to cool. Puree in a blender.
