Ingredients
  • 2 C. self-rising Flour
  • 1/2 C. Lard (or shortening)
  • 3/4 C. Buttermilk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 Degrees
  2. Cut the lard into the flour until it looks like coarse ground cornmeal.
  3. Add enough of the milk to make the dough pull away from the bowl
  4. Knead dough (on a floured surface!) about 10 times
  5. Pinch off dough into 8 pieces
  6. Roll into biscuits (3/4 inch thick)
  7. Place on an ungreased baking tin
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and as big as cat heads!
