Ingredients
  • 6 Doves
  • 6 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 1/3 Tbs. Flour
  • 1 C. Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 C. Cooking Sherry
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet.
  3. Brown the doves in the skillet.
  4. Transfer doves to a baking dish, breast side down.
  5. Add flour to the skillet, stir well.
  6. Slowly add broth, sherry, salt & pepper.
  7. Blend the sauce well.
  8. Pour over doves.
  9. Cover and bake for 1 hour.

Interesting... I've only had the dove breast. Is this recipe for the whole dove?


Yep... the whole bird (cleaned of course) why waste anything? I'm sure that you could substitute just the breast, tho.
