Sausage and Penne Pasta in Tomato Cream

- 1 Box penne pasta (Can use any tubular pasta) shopping list
- 2 Cans diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 Large red bell pepper shopping list
- 1 Pound sausage (I use link but can use bulk, Chorizo, or kielbasa) shopping list
- 1 Pint heavy cream shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- sugar to cut Bite shopping list
- 1 Cup Fresh Grated or Shredded parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Dice onions and peppers (small dice)
- Put on large pot of water and let come to a boil
- Brown Sausage and take it out of pan. Leave grease and dripping (If using link, chorizo or Kielbasa, after brown, cut into bite sized pieces)
- Saute onions and peppers in drippings add salt and pepper (dash of each)
- When water comes to boil, add entire box of pasta and stir. Cook according to directions.
- When onions are translucent, add sausage back to pan and cook over medium/low heat while pasta finishes cooking.
- Drain pasta and add sausage, onion and pepper mixture
- Mix well coating the pasta
- Add tomatoes and heat through
- Add sugar (just a bit)
- When warm, add Parmesan cheese and cream
- Heat through and take off stove
- It will thicken as it cools
