How to make it

  • For Caramel syrup:
  • Heat the pan, add 1/2 cup of sugar with 1 tsp of water and stir well in high flame until the sugar dissolves completely and appears to become a medium thick sauce like consistency.
  • Method:
  • 1) Shift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar and mix well.
  • 2) Mix the rum with the caramel syrup and beat well. Mix ghee (or) butter with the egg thoroughly until bubbles form on surface.
  • 3) Now mix the caramel syrup with the egg mixture and beat well. Mix this with the flour thoroughly.
  • 4) Put vanilla essence, orange peel, walnuts, cashews, raisins and tutty fruity in the batter. Mix well.
  • 5) Preheat the oven at 250 degree. Grease the baking bowl with ghee (or) butter. Pour the batter in it and bake it for 12-15 minutes.
