How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Then add oatmeal.
  • Melt milk, chocolate, butter and salt in pan. Stir constantly until smooth. Add nuts and vanilla.
  • Geberally use 9 x 11 or 9 x13 pan.
  • Pat 2/3 oatmeal mixture into greased pan. Spread with chocolate mixture. Dot top with remaining oatmeal mixture. (Oatmeal mixture is quite dense so I flatten the dots a little before I put them on the top.)
  • 350 degrees for 25- 30 minutes. (may be a little longer depending on the size of your pan)
