Callaloo Soup

- 1 lb. of callaloo leaves or spinach shopping list
- 1 chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 lb. of salt beef, fat removed and diced shopping list
- 6 tbsp. of minced shallots shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. of dried thyme shopping list
- 1 chopped green chile pepper shopping list
- 1 c. of okra shopping list
- 1/2 lb. of crabmeat shopping list
- 6 c. of chicken stock shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. of ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- First you want to remove the stems of the callaloo leaves, and then chop.
- Next in a large pot you can add the callaloo leaves, chicken stock, onion, beef, pepper, shallots, thyme, chili pepper, and the crab meat.
- Put a lid on the pot and let this cook over low flame about 25 min.
- Next you can add in the oka cooking approx. 8 min.
- Now you wan tto remove the chili pepper .
- In your blender puree the soup.
- Reheat if needed.
- Ladle and serve!
