How to make it

  • Mix the powdered jell-o (straight from the package) with the cool whip. If you did nothing else, you have already mastered the tastiest part of this recipe! There's just something about the cherry jell-o flavor mixed with the cool whip that is just to die for! Add the mini marshmellows, then add the fruit of your choice. I generally add a big can of fruit coctail (drained), then a smaller can of peaches(drained), plus a bunch of fresh seedless grapes (just because these are my favorite fruits, but you can add whatever you like - mandarin oranges, pineapple, marachino cherries - - whatever! And then I slice the banana and add it as close to serving-time as possible, just because it'll turn brown & mushy if you do it too soon. This is best served the day you make it, as it tends to get liquid-y when it sits over night. I guarantee this tasty fruit salad will have everyone asking for the recipe. Mix everything together and serve! Kid and Adults BOTH love this.
