How to make it

  • Combine wine, water, basil, chopped peaches, and honey in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes or until the peaches are very soft.
  • Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool. Strain through a very fine-mesh strainer, pressing down on the solids.
  • Stir in lemon juice, adjusting the sweetness level with more honey if you want, and chill. To serve garnish with basil leaves and peach slices.
