How to make it

  • Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, shortening, vanilla and milk. Beat until smooth.
  • Add remaining sugar and food coloring, beat with electric mixer on medium speed for 3 minutes until creamy.
  • Makes enough frosting to cover approx. 7 dozen cookies.
