Beef con Tokwa Tofu

- 400 grams of beef (sliced into bite size pieces) shopping list
- 3 cakes of firm tofu shopping list
- 1 carrot (sliced) shopping list
- 1 Tbsp of finely minced garlic shopping list
- 2 onions (halved and sliced) shopping list
- 3 Tbsp of oyster sauce shopping list
- 1/8 cup of light soy sauce shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp of sesame seed oil shopping list
- 1 Tsp of cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp of brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup of beef broth shopping list
- cooking oil shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together the beef broth, brown sugar, oyster sauce, soy sauce, pepper,cornstarch and sesame seed oil. mix well then set aside.
- Slice the tofu into bite size cubes. Fry them until golden brown. Place them on paper towels and set aside.
- Pour off the cooking oil from the pan wherein you fried the tofu until only about 1 Tbsp remains.
- Stir fry the beef slices until the surface is shiny and the edges starts to brown.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced onions.Stir fry for about 30 sec.
- Add the carrot slices and continue stir-frying for a minute.
- Return the fried tofu cubes in the pan. Stir - fry.
- Add the broth mixture in the pan. Cook until the sauce is thick.
- Serve at once.
