How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, salt and berries.
  • Combine syrup, honey and vanilla. Pour over oats and nuts, and combine well.
  • Spread mixture out on a cookie sheet that has either been sprayed generously with "Pam" or covered with parchment paper or a silpat.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for at least 5 minutes.
  • Gently break apart and store in an airtight container.
  • Serving size is about 1/2 cup.

    I made this this morning and it's fantastic! Not overly sweet like so many and the dried berries give it a great different taste. I used pine nuts instead of sunflower seeds, because that's what I had. I also used sliced almonds instead of chopped, ditto. Fantstic, Hi 5 recipe.
