My Scalloped Potatoes And Pork Pie

- 6 lean pork chops shopping list
- 2 tbsp. olive oil shopping list
- 4 medium potatoes shopping list
- 1 1/2-2 cups milk shopping list
- water to make a broth shopping list
- salt and freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 1 medium onion/chopped shopping list
- 2 tbls. unsalted butter/cut into pieces shopping list
- 1 ready to use sheet of refrigerated or homemade piecrust shopping list
- Eggwash for over piecrust shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in skillet.
- Brown chops/season.
- Simmer in water,not much,until chops are done,some broth will remain.
- Place 1/3 layer of potatoes and onions in a 2 quart cassorole dish.
- Place 3 chops on the potatoes.
- Repeat another 1/3 potatoes and onions,and chops.
- Finish with final 1/3 potatoes and onions on top. and butter cut into pieces
- Pour over combined broth with pan browned bits from pork frying,and milk,mixed together.
- season to taste,
- Cover with pie crust.Make a few slits in crust with fork.
- Brush with an egg wash of 1 egg mixed with a little water.
- Bake in oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
