How to make it

  • Heat oil in skillet.
  • Brown chops/season.
  • Simmer in water,not much,until chops are done,some broth will remain.
  • Place 1/3 layer of potatoes and onions in a 2 quart cassorole dish.
  • Place 3 chops on the potatoes.
  • Repeat another 1/3 potatoes and onions,and chops.
  • Finish with final 1/3 potatoes and onions on top. and butter cut into pieces
  • Pour over combined broth with pan browned bits from pork frying,and milk,mixed together.
  • season to taste,
  • Cover with pie crust.Make a few slits in crust with fork.
  • Brush with an egg wash of 1 egg mixed with a little water.
  • Bake in oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
