How to make it

  • Place pineapple in large heatproof bowl.
  • In small saucepan, combine sugar and water.
  • Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally; cook 1 minute
  • Stir in liquer, lime juice and peel.
  • Pour over pineapple toss to mix
  • Refrigerate covered, 1-2 hours,stirring occasionally.
  • Serve cold with wooden picks.
  • VARIATION: Six cups of assorted fruit can be substituted for the pineapple, such as strawberries, grapes and orange segments.
