How to make it

  • Prepare the cake mix according to instructions on the box (using the number of eggs and cooking oil that it specifies), except substitute eggnog for water that is called for.
  • Add the nutmeg and the rum extract.
  • Bake according to the package directions.
  • (make sure to grease the pan well or use cooking spray).
  • A Bundt pan works well for this recipe.
  • While the cake bakes, mix up the glaze ingredients together and set aside.
  • Once the cake has finished baking, let it cool. If using a Bundt cake pan, remove the cake from the pan and place on a cake plate. Drizzle the glaze evenly over the cake and serve.
