Cider Salad

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Marcus Estate in Greenville, Texas in 1994.
Ingredients
- 3 ounces lemon gelatin shopping list
- 2 cups hot cider shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice shopping list
- 1 cup chopped red apples shopping list
- 1/2 cup broken walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 cup sliced pitted dates shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated orange rind shopping list
- 8 lettuce leaves shopping list
How to make it
- Dissolve gelatin in hot cider then add lemon juice and chill until partially set.
- Fold in apples, walnuts, dates and orange rind then turn into 1 quart mold.
- Chill until firm then serve on lettuce leaves.
