Gs Veggie Burger

- 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed shopping list
- 2 cups cooked lentils, drained and rinsed shopping list
- 1/4 medium red onion, diced shopping list
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger shopping list
- 3 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed shopping list
- 1 tsp smoked paprika shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cumin shopping list
- 2 tbsp minced fresh basil shopping list
- 3 tbsp whole wheat bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- Mash beans and lentils with a fork until coarsely blended.
- Add onion, ginger, garlic, flaxseed, spices, basil and 1 tbsp breadcrumbs. Mix well and divide into 4 even pieces.
- Coat each side of each patty with a dusting of breadcrumbs.
- Wrap patties individually in plastic wrap, refrigerate 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 450F, lightly grease a baking sheet with spray oil.
- Bake patties 8-10 minutes per side, until crusty and hot throughout.
