How to make it

  • Mash beans and lentils with a fork until coarsely blended.
  • Add onion, ginger, garlic, flaxseed, spices, basil and 1 tbsp breadcrumbs. Mix well and divide into 4 even pieces.
  • Coat each side of each patty with a dusting of breadcrumbs.
  • Wrap patties individually in plastic wrap, refrigerate 4-6 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 450F, lightly grease a baking sheet with spray oil.
  • Bake patties 8-10 minutes per side, until crusty and hot throughout.
