Semolina Cake

- 250 gm butter shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 250 gm caster sugar( i just used 200gm) shopping list
- 150 ml full cream milk shopping list
- 100 gm semolina flour shopping list
- 50 gm black raisin shopping list
- 250 gm all superpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla essence shopping list
- for the frosting I'm using royal icing shopping list
- 180 g icing sugar shopping list
- 1 egg white shopping list
How to make it
- 1. soak semolina and black raisin with milk for one hour.
- 2 . preheat the oven to 180 o c ..Grease the round cake tin line the base with greaseproof paper.
- 3.place butter ,sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl and beat until light and fluffy .Gradually beat in eggs mix until fluffy . fold in the soak ingredient follow by the sifted flour with baking powder. Mix well with wooden spoon
- 4. pour mixture into the grease round cake tin and bake for 1 hour or until cake is cooked when tasted with a skewer .
- frosting
- mix icing sugar and egg white till smooth and spreading consistency .If you need a stiffer icing ,add extra icing sugar.
- just pour on the cake....
