Ingredients

How to make it

  • It's a chutney!
  • chuck prepared ingredients into preserving pan and bring to boil
  • simmer until a spoon dragged through leaves a channel without a lot of liquid,
  • pour into sterilised warmed jars
  • put lids on loose
  • after a few mins tighten lids
  • leave to cool
  • cupboard.... you know the drill
  • don't forget to label!! it can be used straight away but it gets better and more mellow with time

Thankyou dear, it only happened cos I had 10 red and 10 green chilies in the fridge going squishy, cut away 30% so 7 of each ;-), it did work though, the crazy thing is the ingriedients were assembled cold and left overnight, in the morning I tasted the mixture, hmmmm! a nice marinade maybe, or just as a sweet sour salsa sort of thing....... then I cooked it out and chutney was born,............
