Irish Brown Bread

- 2 pounds graham flour (about seven cups) shopping list
- 1 cup black molasses shopping list
- 2 cups sour milk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt. shopping list
How to make it
- To make sour milk:
- Measure 2 cups milk. Whole or 2 percent works best in baking. Add 2 tsp. plain vinegar or lemon juice. Stir ingredients. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Milk should began to curdle slightly. You now have sour milk.
- To make the Bread:
- Mix together wet ingredients.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Combine until well blended.
- Pour into two bread pans.
- Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
- Let cool in pan for five minutes, then remove from pan and let cool completely.
