Monterrey Chicken Sandwich

- Boneless, skinless chicken breast shopping list
- Monterrey Jack cheese shopping list
- Sandwich rounds shopping list

- light butter or margarine shopping list

How to make it
- Spread light butter on both top and bottom slices of Nature’s Own 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Rounds and grill ‘til golden. If you prefer, fry the bread in a small frying pan.
- Tenderize ‘til 1/8” thick one boneless, skinless chicken breast. Season with salt and pepper. Saute (or grill) chicken breast in a very small amount of olive oil til browned and cooked thoroughly.
- Slice onion and bell pepper (any color, and as much as you like on a sandwich) approximately 1/8" thick and saute in olive oil ‘til tender in a small frying pan.
- When done, place the chicken breast (trim to fit sandwich rounds if desired) and onion/pepper mixture on one slice of the bread. Put Monterrey Jack cheese, as much as you prefer, on the chicken/onion/pepper mixture and broil ‘til melted, approximately 1½ minutes.
- Can be easily multiplied to feed as many as you need.
