This came from a great turkish website: www.almostturkish.com. This is tried and true and very delicious. This is one of my favorite pasta dishes of all times. So full of great herbs and flavors it is hard to stop eating. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 package whole wheat spaghetti
  • 1 bunch red Swiss chard leaves washed and chopped into 1/2 inch wide strips
  • 1 white onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic sliced
  • 2 anaheim peppers chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed pepper
  • 2 fresh tomatoes diced
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1/2 cup coarsely crushed walnuts
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

Directions
  1. Cook spaghetti in salted water according to the instructions on the package.
  2. In a big pot heat the oil.
  3. Saute onion, garlic and pepper for 5 minutes until onions are soft.
  4. Add paprika then Swiss chard.
  5. Cook for 8 minutes until the water is almost soaked.
  6. Add yogurt and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Add tomato, black pepper, crushed pepper and salt.
  8. Simmer until tomatoes look cooked
  9. Mix sauce with spaghetti in a casserole dish.
  10. Sprinkle crushed walnuts over evenly then top with grated cheddar cheese.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 until cheese melts and is slightly brown.
