How to make it

  • This bread needs to be blessed by a Priest. Though I do things on my own and I know some disagree with this but it works for me.

Thanks for sharing the recipe & history!

What is gram flour? Is it graham flour such as in graham crackers, or is it chickpea flour (aka "gram", aka "besan") such as is widely used in India in pakoras? ~~~ Also, is the braid it makes a soft bread, or hard? Why not simply braid some of the bread's dough? ~ Thanks in advance for answering.

I just had to read and save this recipe to give to my Daughter-in-law who is a great cook of German descent. I can only ponder over the memories when my Mother used to make a similar cake and her struedels mmmm at Easter and Xmas time. Blessings for your Easter Weekend.
