Uptown Piggies With Spicy Avocado Dip

- PIGGIES: shopping list
- 1 (1 1/2 lb) pkg sausage links or “smokee links” shopping list
- Pillsbury® Refrigerated crescent roll dough (quantity corresponding to number of sausage links) shopping list
- DIP: shopping list
- 1 large ripe avocado, pitted, peeled and mashed shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 medium onion, small dice shopping list
- 2 tbsps lime juice shopping list
- 1 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup mustard (your choice) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp hot sauce shopping list
How to make it
- If using uncooked sausage links, cook per normal cooking time and allow to cool prior to rolling each link in a crescent roll. Roll so that the long point of the wrapper ends up on the outside of the "piggie".
- “Smokee Links” – which are approximately same in size as sausage links – are fully cooked and therefore can be wrapped without precooking.
- Bake wrapped sausage links per crescent roll package directions until rolls are a nice golden brown.
- Meanwhile, combine dip ingredients; refrigerate until needed.
- Serve piggies with spicy avocado dip and salsa, if desired
- NOTE: Serve as a side with eggs and potatoes... another great “breakfast-for-dinner idea”!!
