Basic Buttercream Frosting

This should be enough to generously spread over cake with extra for decorating. Adjust sugar and milk levels as needed.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and shortening. Beat in sugar, vanilla, salt, and milk gradually, until you achieve the right consistency. Spread over completely cooled cake.

Oh so bad for you!, shortening!, please to use a soft vegetale margarine or olive oil, avoid hydrogenated fat it is so not good for you, be well my dear.
