Rodel's Chicken Sitr-Fry Surprise

- 1 whole chicken, sliced into small pieces shopping list
- 1.5 cup of lee kum kee premium soy sauce shopping list
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed and diced shopping list
- 1 whole onion, diced shopping list
- 5 pieces green chili, sliced shopping list
- 1 small ginger, peeled, sliced and crushed shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 2 tbsp cornstarch shopping list
- a dash of pepper shopping list
- 2 tsp oil shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare the water by mixing it with cornstarch. dissolve and set aside.
- in a wok, put in oil, and when hot enough, saute onion, garlic, chili and ginger
- throw in chicken pieces
- add soy sauce
- stir to make sure chicken is covered in soy sauce
- cover the wok for about a minute or until chicken releases its oil (make sure you don't burn the chicken! eternal vigilance, people!)
- add in the water and cornstarch mix and bring chicken to a boil.
- Stir until sauce thickens
- do a taste test. if the sauce is bland, add in a little more soy sauce
- add in a dash of pepper
- simmer and serve.
