How to make it

  • Cut tops off peppers, remove seeds and boil in salted water 4 minutes. Drain and place in 1 quart baking dish. Saute onion and celery in oil. Add hamburger and brown. Put in mixing bowl and stir in bread slices broken into small chunks, bread crumbs and herbs. Gently pack mixture into peppers and place remaining stuffing around peppers in baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over peppers. Top with cheese and a dash or paprika. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 minutes.
