How to make it

  • place ground beef in a bowl and add onions , garlic , peppers , breadcrumbs and egg
  • Mix together until combined
  • Then add cumin ,paprika, parsley salt and pepper and mix these in
  • Take tablespoonfulls of mixture and roll into small balls with floured hands
  • They should show they have a coating of fine flour
  • Fry gently in some oil until browned .......
  • can be placed in baking tin and covered in tomato sauce
  • ( homemade with some canned tomatoes , sliced onion and a teaspoon of basil added plus some salt and pepper )
  • I usually do them with a sauce if i make them early in the day
  • Then i can place in fridge and reheat in the oven for later
  • usually around 20-30 mins at 180 c
  • of course in greece meatballs are traditionally served with a side order of homemade potato chips and a wedge of fresh lemon
