Adele Flank Steak

- 1 large white onion chopped shopping list
- 1-1/2 pounds flank steak shopping list
- 1 large carrot chopped shopping list
- 3 teaspoons chili powder shopping list
- 1 large green pepper chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 2 large tomatoes chopped shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup red wine shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 hot chili pepper seeded shopping list
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
How to make it
- Score steak and rub with chili powder.
- Coat with a mixture of flour, 1/2-teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper.
- Pound steak on both sides with a wooden mallet to tenderize then cut into 6 pieces.
- Brown steak in hot oil in a large skillet then remove and reserve.
- Sauté onion, carrot, pepper and tomato in pan drippings then add remaining salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat then combine steak and sautéed vegetables in crock pot.
- Add wine and hot chili pepper the cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
