Baked Bean and Tomato Soup

- 2 cups baked beans shopping list
- 3 cups water shopping list
- 1 small white onion sliced shopping list
- 16 ounces tomatoes with juice shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoons all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In large saucepan combine beans, water, onions and tomatoes.
- Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes then puree in blender and set aside.
- In same saucepan melt butter then add flour to bubbling.
- Add small amount of pureed mixture to saucepan then heat and stir.
- Add remaining bean mixture, salt and pepper then simmer 5 minutes before serving.
