Chinese Soup For Two

- pork fillet Ingredients: shopping list
- 1/4 Lean pork fillet shopping list
- 1/4 Cup soy sauce shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons dry red wine shopping list
- 1 " honey shopping list
- 1 " brown sugar shopping list
- 1 " clove Garlic shopping list
- 4 spring onions shopping list
- 2 Teaspoons Red Food Colouring shopping list
- Lightly sprinkle cinnamon to both sides of pork shopping list
- stock Ingredients: shopping list
- 6 cups water# shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce# shopping list
- 1 " sesame oil# shopping list
- sea salt to taste# shopping list
- 1 bunch bok choy shopping list
- 1 chicken breast shopping list
- 1 pkt egg noodles shopping list
- 8 to 12 prawn heads# (keep bodies to one side)# shopping list
- 3 chicken stock cubes# shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger# shopping list
- bunch spinach leaves shopping list
- bunch spring onion bulbs sliced to stalks, (keep stalks) shopping list
- 1/4 cup corriander shopping list
- 1 good handful of bean shoots shopping list
How to make it
- STEP 1 COOK PORK FILLET
- Combine soy sauce, red wine, honey, sugar, crushed garlic and thinly sliced spring onion bulbs, (keep leaves to one side)
- lightly sprinkle Cinnamon onto pork (both sides), marinate a minimum of 1hour (4hrs is better), basting frequently
- Drain pork from marinade, reserve marinade, put pork on wire rack over baking dish.
- Bake in moderate oven for 1 hour, basting with reserved marinade regularly.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool and cut pork into thin diagonal slices.
- STEP 2 MAKE STOCK
- Place frozen chicken breast into steamer, microwave for 12 minutes, remove and allow to cool. Then cube the chicken and keep to one side.
- Boil the 6 cups water, add all stock ingredients " MARKED WITH # "
- Simmer with lid to one side for 5 minutes.
- Remove pan from heat, strain stock to container, discard heads.
- Now add to the container, the sliced spring onion bulbs.
- Chopped spring onion leaves
- Chopped bok choy
- Chopped spinach leaves (remove thick centre stalk)
- STEP 3 TO COMPLETE
- Replace container onto the hotplate on high. Add chicken, prawns and noodles for 5 minutes.
- Use large soup ladle to spoon from container into soup bowl.
- Add chopped fresh hot chilli, pork slices and corriander.
