How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Chop apricots, almonds and walnuts in food processor.
  • NOTE: If you don't have a food processor, just chop everything by hand.
  • Mix fruit, sunflower seeds, nuts, honey, wheat germ, oats, flour and oil.
  • Mix well.
  • Add enough apple juice to form a thick batter.
  • Press into a greased 8 X 8 inch square baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until firm.
  • Cut into 12 bars while still in the baking dish and allow to cool in the pan.
  • After they have cooled completely, package individually and store in refrigerator or freezer.
  • Makes 12 bars.

    Now that warmer weather is on it's way,this would be a wonderful companion in a backpack on a trek in the country...
