Healthy Fruit Bar

- 1 cup dried apricots shopping list
- 1/4 cup dates, chop coarsely by hand shopping list
- 3/4 cup almonds shopping list
- 3/4 cup walnuts or pecans shopping list
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds - don't put sunflower seeds in the food processor shopping list
- 1/2 cup honey shopping list
- 1/2 cup wheat germ shopping list
- 1/4 cup oats shopping list
- 2/3 cup whole wheat or all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. oil shopping list
- 4 Tbsp. apple juice shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Chop apricots, almonds and walnuts in food processor.
- NOTE: If you don't have a food processor, just chop everything by hand.
- Mix fruit, sunflower seeds, nuts, honey, wheat germ, oats, flour and oil.
- Mix well.
- Add enough apple juice to form a thick batter.
- Press into a greased 8 X 8 inch square baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until firm.
- Cut into 12 bars while still in the baking dish and allow to cool in the pan.
- After they have cooled completely, package individually and store in refrigerator or freezer.
- Makes 12 bars.
