Bear Stew

- 3 lb. of bear meat shopping list
- 5 quart slow cooker shopping list
- 16 oz. of package frozen peas shopping list
- 2 thinly sliced large onions shopping list
- 2 lb. of small red potatoes, quartered shopping list
- 1 package of sliced celery shopping list
- 1 lb. of baby carrots shopping list
- 1 24 oz. of package small whole mushrooms shopping list
- 2 packages of onion gravy mix shopping list
- 2 tsp. of worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 bottle of regular or hickory marinade shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. of thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. of salt shopping list
- 1 tbsp. of bacon bits shopping list
- 2 tsp. of crushed garlic shopping list
- 2 beef bouillon cubes dissolved in shopping list
- 1/2 c. of water shopping list
- 1 c. of Madeira or red wine shopping list
How to make it
- First you want to marinate meat approx. 24 to 36 hours in marinade
- Now you can boil potatoes until half cooked.
- Then you want to drain potatoes and place in a 5 quart slow cooker.
- You can combine celery, carrots, mushrooms, onion gravy mix, peas, onions, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, bacon bits, garlic and bouillon.
- This needs to be mixed well and cook on low setting for about 12 hours.
- Now you can add wine and cook for another 2 hours.
- Serve.
