How to make it

  • Chop okra
  • shuck corn and cut corn of stalks
  • In a large skillet melt butter or margarine on medium high heat
  • add chopped onions saute until translucent
  • add the okra and corn and saute for about 10 minutes
  • add the tomatoes
  • turn the burner down to simmer
  • add the cayenne pepper (use as much or little depending on taste), salt and black pepper.
  • Let simmer for about an hour or until the vegetables are tender.
  • Serve immediately.
