- 1 green pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips, lengthwise. shopping list
- 1 tomato, very thinly sliced shopping list
- 1/4 very thinly sliced red onion shopping list
- 1/2 lb. deli ham, shaved or thinly slicced shopping list
- 1/2 lb. deli turkey or chicken, shaved or thinly sliced shopping list
- 6 Italian style sub rolls, split shopping list
- 12 slices provolone shopping list
- 12 slices cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 small can black olives, sliced and drained shopping list
- 1/2 cup pickled banana peppers, sliced, drained shopping list
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeno peppers, sliced, drained shopping list
- extra virgin olive oil for drizzling inside of sub rolls shopping list
How to make it
- Drizzle EVOO inside of both sides of open rolls.
- Layer with meats, tomatoes, onion, green peppers, banana and jalapeno peppers, and black olives.
- Top each sandwich with the cheese
- Close rolls and press down firmly.
- Wrap each sandwich individually and very tightly in aluminum foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until heated through and cheese has begun to melt.
