Spareribs with onion sauce

- 3 lbs.pork spareribs shopping list
- 3 cups sliced onion shopping list
- 4 clove garlic (minced or pressed) shopping list
- 2 TBSP> vegtable oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup or chili sauce shopping list
- 6 TBSP. brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves shopping list
- 2tsp.allspice shopping list
- 2tsp.dry mustard shopping list
- 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Cut ribs into 3-4 rib pieces Place into foil-lined jelly pan, well
- apart & roast @ 400 F. for 20 min. Drain off fat
- arrange ribes in 13 by 9" pan.
- Meanwhile saute onions & garlic over moderate heat for 2-3 min
- or until onios are limp
- Add vinegar, chili sauce (or ketchup) sugar,marjoram,allspice,
- mustard & Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 10 min.
- Pour onion sauce over ribs. Bake for 1-11/2 hrs.@ 350
- until ribs are very tender & juicy. If ribs brown to quickly
- cover with foil
- These ribs can be prepared 1 day in advance & reheated @300
- for 30 to 45 min.or until ribs are heated through.
