Payn Purdeuz or Lost Bread a version of French Toast

- 2 egg yolks, beaten shopping list
- 2 slices white bread shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine shopping list
- Dash salt (optional) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Cut the bread with a 4-inch round cutter, discarding the excess, along with the crusts.
- Beat the egg yolks with the salt.
- Dip the bread rounds in the beaten egg yolks, coating both sides of each slice.
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Fry the bread slices until they are golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Flip the slices and cook the other side until it is also golden brown.
- Take them up and sprinkle them with sugar.
- Serve hot.
