How to make it

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the milk and butter until the butter is melted.
  • Whisk together the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl.
  • Gradually whisk in some of the hot milk into the yolk mixture, the add all to the saucepan.
  • Stir gently over medium heat for about 10-minutes or until custard coats the back of a spoon (do NOT boil).
  • Transfer to a bowl and stir in the vanilla and whiskey.
  • Refigerate for about 3-hours before serving.
