Kickoff drink for my "Drunk About Town" collection. My Austin version of a Red Hook. Was inspired by the drinks developed for Brooklyn neighborhoods and now running my own versions for Austin. This one is a nod to the Red Hook neighborhood/cocktail and references Austin in general not a specific region.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon shopping list
- 1/2 oz cherry juice shopping list
- 1 oz orange bitters shopping list
- 1 oz extra dry vermouth shopping list
- 5 shakes of Peychaud;s bitters shopping list
- 1 blue maraschino cherry shopping list
How to make it
- Shake with ice and serve with one ice cube and a blue cherry
